Until the Kyalami final last November, GruppeM Racing and Maxi Buhk had the titles Intercontinental GT Challenge targeted. But fate and mechanics decided otherwise. Determined to take their revenge in 2020, the allied formation of Mercedes-AMG can count on the reinforcement of Philip Fraga This year.
Revealed in Stock Car in Brazil, Fraga has notably confirmed his speed within the AKKA-ASP team in recent years, before competing in the last 24 Hours of Le Mans on the Keating Motorsports Ford GT in GTE Am. Winner on track, the car was downgraded after the finish due to non-compliant fuel tank.
Fraga should find himself in the car usually flanked by No. 999 Maxi Buhk and Raffaele Marciello on most events on the calendar. However, it remains to be confirmed where Marciello will perform at the 24 Hours of Spa, the Italian being expected in GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup within AKKA-ASP.
