Davide Rigon, Miguel Molina and Mikhail Aleshin give Ferrari a first overall victory in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup in six years.

Ferrari breaks the curse at Silverstone

Comme la disette de Porsche avait pris fin à Monza en avril dernier avec la victoire de la 911 GT3 R n°54 – Dinamic Motorsport, celle de Ferrari ended this Sunday in England at the end of the 3 Hours of Silverstone with the victory of the #488 Ferrari 3 GT72 – SMP Racing of Davide Rigon – Mikhail Aleshin – Miguel Molina.

The trio won after Davide Rigon's decisive maneuver in the last twenty minutes in the No. 3 Lamborghini Huracan GT519 EVO – FFF Racing of Phil Keen – Franck Perera – Giovanni Venturini.

The podium could have been completed by the second Huracan GT3 EVO n°563 – FFF Racing, but Marco Mapelli was slowed down at the end of the race by a suspension which was probably damaged and finished 6th.

Audi R8 LMS GT3 n°2 – Team WRT of Dries Vanthoor – Alex Riberas – Ezequiel Perez Companc completes the podium ahead of the No. 911 Porsche 3 GT98 R – ROWE Racing of Romain Dumas – Mathieu Jaminet – Sven Müller.

In the Silver Cup, victory went to the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO n°19 – GRT of Arno Santamato – Gerhard Tweraser – Lucas Mauron, while in Pro-Am, the Mercedes-AMG GT3 n°74 – Onslow-Cole’s Ram Racing – Vos wins.

Victory in the Am Cup for the #3 Lamborghini Huracan GT77 EVO – Barwell Motorsport d’Amstutz – Machitski – Ramos.

The event was marked by three main neutralizations, including that at the start after a collective accident involving in particular the Mercedes-AMG GT3 n°88 – AKKA-ASP of Marciello – Abril – Meadows or theAston Martin Vantage GT3 n°59 – Garage 59 of Ledogar – Watson – Adam.
