Clearly faster than everyone else, Léo Jousset and Rudy Sevrol opened up a relatively impressive gap over the rest of the grid. Capable of lapping around seven-tenths of a second faster than their closest rivals, the two pole-sitters achieved their best times on a track shrouded in thick clouds at Nogaro. No rain in the Gers region, but the conditions didn't prevent a few cars from going off the track.
In this case, Joran Leneutre and his Toyota Number 78 (Akkodis ASP) went off the track in Q1, preventing Cindy Gudet from participating in the session. Later, during Q2, a second red flag was waved that morning in Gers after Pascal Huteau made a mistake. Unfortunately for the driver, who had already performed well in the competition last season, this incident occurred while he was provisionally in third place on the grid.
Finally, Thomas Drouet (Toyota #87) and Vincent Beltoise completed the top 3 on the grid for Race 1, while Laurent Hurgon (Alpine No. 110 and Jeremy Corsin (Alpine No. 88) will be right behind Rudy Sevrol in Race 2. It's worth noting the trend that's being confirmed on the Paul Armagnac circuit: the form of the AlpineThis comes a year after Pascal Huteau and Gaspard Simon's victory on the same track. Furthermore, we should also note Roméo Leurs' impressive eighth-place qualifying position for Race 1. The Formula 4 newcomer will be driving his No. 8 Toyota. He and the other competitors will meet at 13:55 PM (French time) to contest the first of the weekend's two races in the category.
