24 GT3s will compete at Magny-Cours

Only one week after the Nürburgring Endurance Cup, the GT World Challenge Europe paddock meets for two sprint races at Magny-Cours.

24 GT3s will compete at Magny-Cours

Magny-Cours will host the second sprint cup round of the season next weekend... Nine years after the last visit of the SRO series to Nièvre. The meeting then constituted the fourth meeting of the inaugural Blancpain season. Endurance series. The Marc VDS Racing BMW won thanks to Bas Lenders, Maxime Martin and Markus Palttala.

This year 24 GT3s will make the trip to Nevers. The grid sees little change compared to the first sprint round in Misano. A car is added, a Ferrari 488 of Sky Tempesta Racing entrusted to Jonathan Hui and Giancarlo Fisichella. In Pro-AM, the Mercedes-AMG of SPS Automotive replaces Tom Onslow-Cole with Manuel Lauck, alongside Christian Hook.

Ten crews will compete for victory as professionals. Three French teams will be there. CMR will enter a Bentley entrusted to Jules Gounon and Nelson Panciatici. AKKA-ASP will entrust a Mercedes-AMG to the duo Raffaelle Marciello – Timur Boguslavskiy, winner of a sprint race at Misano in August and second at the Nürburgring.

Finally, the Saintéloc Racing duo Arthur Rougier-Christopher Haase will try to capitalize on their double podium at Misano with the Audi R8 LMS.

Team WRT's Belgian neighbors won two of the three sprint races at Misano. They will entrust two cars, to the duos Charles Weerts – Dries Vanthoor, championship leaders and Kelvin van der Linde – Ryuichiro Tomita.
 

Attempto will complete the Audi contingent with two cars in the hands of Mattia Drudi-Tommaso Mosca and Nicolas Schöll-Frederic Vervisch.

Mercedes-AMG will also be represented by the Luca Stolz-Maro Engel pair within Haupt Racing.

Lamborghini's hopes will rest with Emil Frey Racing, which will trust Mikael Grenier and Norbert Siedler in the No. 14 and Albert Costa and Giacomo Altoe in the No. 163.

Note the presence in the Silver Cup of the 100% French duo from Tech 1 Racing, Thomas Neubauer and Aurélien Panis, who will try to chase the black cat out of the Lexus.
