Charles Weerts places WRT on pole for Race 1 at Magny-Cours

The first qualification of the Magny-Cours meeting in GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup turned the advantage of Charles Weerts and Team WRT, at the end of a hotly contested session.

The Belgian, teammate of Dries Vanthoor on theAudi R8 LMS GT3 Evo n°32, quickly emerged at the forefront by setting a final time of 1'36"133, enough to beat the two Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo - Emil Frey Racing, the no. 163 of Ricardo Feller and the no. 14 ofArthur Rougier, who only took the wheel for this session after the last minute call from the Swiss team and signed the benchmark in Silver Cup.

Patrick Kujala hoists the Ferrari 488 GT3 n°33 – Rinaldi Racing in 4th position ahead of Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo n°90 – Madpanda Motorsport d’Ezequiel Perez-Companion. The best Mercedes-AMG Evo – AKKA-ASP, the #88 of Timur Boguslavskiy finished 8th, when Léo Roussel placed the first Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo #25 – Saintéloc Racing in 12th position.

Alexander West takes pole position in Pro-Am with theAston Martin Vantage GT3 n°188 – Garage 59. The race will start this evening at 22:25 p.m. for a duration of one hour.
