The sessions follow one another but Raffaele Marciello (Mercedes) remains the benchmark for pure speed in the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup. The driver operating under a Swiss license signed this Friday, May 13 at Magny-Cours (Nièvre) the best time in the pre-qualifying session, his seventh best time in a row in the Sprint Cup!
The driver of the French team Akkodis-ASP beat Dries Vanthoor (Audi) by 116 thousandths. The rookie from MotoGP Valentino Rossi (Audi) ranked seventh thanks to the performance of his teammate Frédéric Vervisch.
The session was marked by the accident of the McLaren Ollie Wilkinson's 720S GT3. The JOTA team's car was quite damaged but should be repaired by the first qualifying session (15:05 p.m. Saturday).
