Haupt Racing Team withdraws from Zandvoort

The starting grid for the Zandvoort meeting will not see the presence of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 from the Haupt Racing Team, due to health restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Haupt Racing Team withdraws from Zandvoort

In a good position to play for the crown Sprint Cup in GT World Challenge Europe, Maro Engel and Luca Stolz, 2nd, 3,5 points behind leaders Dries Vanthoor and Charles Weerts (Team WRT), will not make the trip to Zandvoort this weekend.

Faced with the region of the Dutch route being placed in a risk zone, the team Haupt Racing Team preferred not to go to the Netherlands, because the two drivers were also competing in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring this weekend, the transfer between the two areas could not have been possible.

Maro Engel and Luca Stolz will pilot the Mercedes-AMG GT3 n°4 – Mercedes-AMG Team Haupt Racing Team on the double clock tour in the Eifel with Adam Christodoulou and Manuel Metzger.
