Paul Williams, director of Bentley Motorsport, told us during the Barcelona final in Endurance Cup en octobre dernier, qu’il ne faudrait pas forcément se reposer sur M-Sport pour l’exploitation des Continental GT3 en Endurance Cup en 2020.
Prediction confirmed this Wednesday, since K-Pax Racing, Bentley's leading figure in the United States in GT World Challenge America, will cross the Atlantic this year to enter two cars in the long races of the GT World Challenge.
A commitment supported by the support of Bentley Motorsport which will second several official drivers, as was the case until now for Team M-Sport. On number 9, Alvaro Parente will play alongside Jordan Pepper and Andy Soucek, when n°3 sees Jules Gounon associated with Maxime Soulet and Rodrigo Baptista.
A clever mix between the GT World Challenge Europe and America 2019 crews. “K-Pax Racing has been racing in the United States for a long time, and we have had many successes there, underlines Jim Haughey, owner of the team.
I have always had an interest in endurance racing and with the current status of the GT World Challenge we have the opportunity to race on some of the most iconic tracks in Europe. The strength of our team and our relationship with Bentley Motorsport gives us the opportunity to run two cars in Pro. The timing was right to make the move in 2020.”
Team M-Sport will, however, remain in charge of the Bentley Continental GT3 entry in the Intercontinental GT Challenge.
