K-Pax Racing moves to Lamborghini in GT3

The end of a story. K-Pax Racing had become the preferred partner of Bentley Motorsport in the United States since 2018. This victorious collaboration resulted in the entry of two Bentleys as professionals in GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup, symbolizing Bentley's shift towards customer competition.

The season was difficult for the team with a sixth place as the best result for Alex Buncombe, Jordan Pepper and Andy Soucek.

If the objective was above all to discover the European level in 2020 before aiming for success in 2021, it will ultimately not be able to continue. Bentley has in fact decided to withdraw its official support in GT3 from next season.

K-Pax Racing will therefore refocus on the United States and change direction to move into the Lamborghini fold. The team will enter two cars in GT World Challenge America.

“With everything going on in the world right now, we felt it was best to return to the United States for our program which we were forced to re-evaluate,” said team principal Darren Law. “We looked at all the GT3s available, noted all the positive and negative aspects of the cars and the relationships with the manufacturers, their support. The Lamborghini Huracan GT3 is very strong across the world and has proven its ability to win races and championships. »

The GT World Challenge America begins in Sonoma on March 7, 2021.
