2020 GT World Challenge Asia season canceled

Hit hard by the health crisis and its consequences, like all the other categories, the GT World Challenge Asia will not resume this year. After the numerous provisional calendars published, SRO Motorsports has finally decided to put an end to a 2020 season which will never have started.

« Despite the determination and unwavering commitment of the teams, drivers, partners, promoters and sponsors, it is not possible for us to race in Asia this year., regrets Stéphane Ratel, president and founder of SRO Motorsports.

We are obviously very disappointed but we are looking forward to a hopefully happier 2021. The enthusiasm among the teams and drivers involved remains intact ».

SRO Motorsports is expected to release the 2021 season schedule in October. The 2020 ranking will be based on the results of the manufacturers entered in GT World Europe and America.
