Announcement day this Friday at Spa-Francorchamps. On the sidelines of the double clock tour of the legendary Belgian circuit, SRO took stock of the 2021 season and its few new features including the 15th anniversary of GT3.
Present on site, Stéphane Ratel confirmed that the GT3 will be celebrated in Monza next year on the occasion of its anniversary. SRO plans to hold a four-day trans track event therealpine.
Two categories are invited to this 15th anniversary: GT3 Generation 1 (2006-2009) and GT3 Generation 2 (2009-2013). They will be entitled to one race each if the number of entrants allows it. Otherwise, only one will bring together all the cars.
Participants will be entitled to a 45-minute practice session before qualifying (20 minutes) and a half-hour race. If it generates great enthusiasm, the event could be renewed for the three years following this 15th anniversary.
