The 6 Hours of the Nürburgring to follow live video
The cards are reshuffled at the Nürburgrng, scene of the second round of the GT World Challenge Endurance cup. Sur le podium lors de la manche d’ouverture à Imola, l’Audi n°31 du Team WRT, la Porsche n°12 du GPX Racing et la Mercedes AKKA-ASP n°88 are absent from the top 7 on the starting grid.
In their place, two Porsches will lead the pack this Sunday. The #40 GPX Racing car of Thomas Preining, Romain Dumas and Dennis Olsen will start on pole ahead of the Dinamic Motorsport car driven by Christian Engelhart, Matteo Cairoli and Sven Müller. The surprising Lamborghini Huracan from Emil Frey Racing driven by Franck Perera, Giacomo Altoé and Albert Costa will complete the leading trio.
With 24 cars within the same second in qualifying, the race promises to be close. Tire strategy and exploitation should play an important role in very cool conditions. In fact, we will not exceed 15°C in the Eifel today.
The No. 99 Rowe Racing Porsche, damaged yesterday, is withdrawn.
