  • Premiere night, Saturday, for Porsche and Rutronik Racing. Sven Müller and Patric Niederhauser won Race 1 held on the Magny-Cours circuit, at nightfall, aboard the No. 911 Porsche 3 GT96 R. The German-Swiss duo won ahead of the #32 BMW Team WRT of the Dries Vanthoor – Charles Weerts tandem and the Mercedes Winward Racing n°48 of Lucas Auer and Maro Engel. This is the first Sprint Cup victory for Porsche and Rutronik Racing in the championship.
  • Their victory took shape after the obligatory pit stops: virtually second at the start of his stint, Patric Niederhauser managed to overtake the virtual leader, Charles Weerts, then blocked by slower Bronze Cup cars which had not still stopped. The #32 BMW had however done the hardest part at the start of the event thanks to an excellent first stint from Dries Vanthoor, who had placed Team WRT in the lead after 20 minutes of racing by a series of overtakes.

  • The pole sitter of the race, Ben Green on the Ferrari Emil Frey Racing n°14, had made a good start but, just after handing over control of the race to Dries Vanthoor, the Briton was hit by Dan Harper, author of an overly ambitious maneuver on the inside of the bend of the Water Tower. If the #911 Century Motorsport BMW was penalized by 10 seconds for this collision, the #14 Ferrari was able to save the furniture and finish in 5th place in the Pro category despite a passage through the gravel.
  • In the other categories, it was the No. 88 Tresor Attempto Racing Audi which won in the Gold class with Lorenzo Ferrari and Lorenzo Patrese, the Silver category was dominated by Tom Kalender and Ezequiel Perez Companc in the #90 Madpanda Mercedes and Rob Collard – Sandy Mitchell were declared Bronze Cup winners with the #78 Barwell Motorsport Lamborghini thanks to the 10-second penalty imposed on the #991 BMW.
