Marciello and AKKA-ASP dominate the Paul Ricard tests

In a necessarily particular context with the ambient coronavirus pandemic, the GT World Challenge Europe took part in his two days of pre-season testing yesterday and today at Paul Ricard.

A big dress rehearsal for the teams used to GT3 games, which saw AKKA-ASP and Raffaele Marciello emerge at the top of the timesheets.

The Italian, recent winner of the FIA GT World Cup in Macau, made waves by signing the absolute best time of the two days in 1'53″417. Better for the official driver Mercedes-AMG, the latter dominated three of the four driving sessions.

Only the No. 3 Mercedes-AMG GT84 – HTP-Winward came to break the AKKA-ASP domination in the afternoon, without calling into question the time of Marciello, who will be aligned this year with Felipe Fraga and Timur Boguslavskiy.

SRO Motorsports will theoretically kick off its season at the start of May at Brands Hatch with the Sprint Cup, after the Monza round was canceled due to the coronavirus. The season starting grids were also confirmed yesterday, offering Endurance and Sprint grids once again impressive.
