The Iron Dames are not the only women to have left their mark on the 74th edition of the 24 Hours of Spa. In the Bronze Cup, Saudi driver Reema Juffali also won the Mercedes-AMG GT3 n°20 from SPS Automotive Performance alongside Tim Müller, George Kurtz and Valentin Pierburg.
Reema Juffali couldn't believe it after her podium: “It was just a dream not so long ago, but today I was on the podium at the 24 Hours of Spa. » A feat for the first appearance in a race of this level for the driver from Jeddah, who only started in GT3 at the start of the year at the 24 Hours of Dubai.
“This was by far my toughest race to date, admits the person concerned. At one point we were three laps down after some damage and the hope was just to reach the finish. This race threw everything at us, but the SPS Automotive Performance team did a great job getting us over the line. Many thanks for all your efforts! My teammates Valentin, George and Tim gave everything, an incredible job. »
After this performance, the former Fomule 4 pilot hopes to discover another double clock tour with the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Note that the sixth driver lined up for the 24 Hours of Spa, Samantha Tan, also saw the checkered flag, his ST Racing team avoiding the pitfalls of its first participation in the Spades classic.
I'd also like to mention: out of 235 drivers at the # 24HSpa, 6 were women. 5 of them won their class. Women. Can. Do. Anything!!!!
