Schumacher CLRT enters the big leagues in GT World Challenge Europe. The French team will enter the Pro category in 2024, using a Porsche 911 GT3 R in black and gold. Fruit of an alliance between the Autosport GP LS Group Performance teams, IMSA LS Group Performance and CLRT, carried out during the winter of 2023/2024, the structure led by Edouard Schumacher and Côme Ledogar is ambitious with a trio capable of challenging for the title in Endurance Cup

Dorian Boccolacci and official Porsche drivers Ayhancan Güven and Laurin Heinrich will participate in the five Endurance Cup events scheduled for the 2024 calendar. The Frenchman, crowned with the Porsche Carrera Cup France title in 2023, had already participated in a few rounds of the GTWC Europe in 2020 , and did a freelance last year during the Paul-Ricard 1000km.

At 26, Porsche factory driver Ayhancan Güven has won two titles in the Porsche Carrera Cup France as well as a crown in the ALMS in 2023, and has just added the Bathurst 12 Hours to his list. The German Laurin Heinrich is the youngest of the trio at 22 years old. He made his name by winning the 2022 Porsche Carrera Cup Germany, while placing 3rd in the Supercup. Inducted into the “club” of official Porsche drivers, we saw him last year in DTM and in GT World Challenge. At the start of the 2024 season, he took 2nd place in GTD Pro at the 24 Hours of Daytona.

“We had this idea in mind for some time. Gilles Zaffini, who managed Autosport GP, introduced me to Côme Ledogar and I was able to meet his partner in the creation of CLRT Tugdual Rabreau, explains Edouard Schumacher, CEO of Car Lovers. At that moment, my goal was to demonstrate that Autosport GP and IMSA Performance were capable of reaching the highest level. Result, a title of French champion and European vice-champion in GT4 for some, a victory at the 24 Hours of Barcelona overall with the Porsche 911 GT3 R for others. During this time, CLRT won the Porsche Carrera Cup France. But for 2024, if we want to have ambition, we cannot arrive in scattered order.

“The human, financial and technical resources required to go further in competition far exceed what artisanal teams can do, however well organized they may be. So, everything happened very quickly, we knew each other well, we had trusting relationships, we high-fived each other, he adds. By bringing together energies and skills and creating a base in Lyon, we will be able to develop a depth of experience, material and human structures to face ambitious challenges like this GT World Challenge Europe. »
