Valentino Rossi after Brands Hatch: “A big step forward in my driving”

Valentino Rossi scored his first points in his new discipline this Sunday in Race 2 at Brands Hatch. After a first race where he mainly avoided the accident where two other WRTs were involved, the Italian driver felt progress in the second Sunday race in England. With his teammate Frédéric Vervisch, he finished in eighth place.

“In race 1 I was lucky to escape any problems in the first corner and then I basically stayed where I was, Explain Doctor after this deadline. Race 2 was much better, I'm very happy because I felt a big step forward in my driving and I improved my lap times a lot, especially towards the end of the race, when I felt more confident. comfortable with the car and the track. I really enjoyed these last few rounds! »

A feeling shared by Vincent Vosse, the Team Principal of the Belgian team: « It's also the first points for Vale and Fred after a very consistent race. Vale really took a big step forward and his lap times at the end of Race 2 were among the best. » 

Next meeting for Valentino Rossi: Magny-Cours, May 13 and 15.
