Honda develops new Civic Type R TCR for 2018

JAS Motorsport, armed arm of Honda in tourism, both in WTCC and TCR, announced this Wednesday the start of work on a new version of the Civic Type R playing in the different TCR series since 2015.

Taking advantage of the base of the new road Civic, the Italian structure will offer a revised exterior design and a more efficient aerodynamic package, with reduced drag and improved downforce. A new multi-link rear suspension and a new anti-roll bar will appear, as will a new electronic control unit and an improved roll bar.

The first deliveries will begin on December 15 with the first 25 examples available for the start of the 2018 season.
