IGTC – Haase places Audi and Team Land on pole at Laguna Seca

Christopher Haase (Audi R8 LMS GT3 - Team Land) dominated the shoot-out for pole position at the 8 Hours of California, final of the Intercontinental GT Challenge.

IGTC – Haase places Audi and Team Land on pole at Laguna Seca

For the second consecutive year, Christopher Haase left nothing to his opponents during the conclusion of the qualifying shoot-out for the Intercontinental GT Challenge final at Laguna Seca.

The driver of the No. 8 Audi R3 LMS GT29 – Team Land dominated the final session with a best lap set in 1'23 "660. But a reference only 68 thousandths faster than Raffaele Marciello (Mercedes-AMG GT3 n°43 – Strakka Racing), in the running for the title this weekend.

Dries Vanthoor places the No. 8 Audi R3 LMS GT19 – Team WRT on the second row, 103 thousandths behind, just ahead of the No. 3 Mercedes-AMG GT75 – SunEnergy1 of Kenny Habul – Luca Stolz – Mikaël Grenier, dominating in Pro-Am.

The top 5 is completed by the first Porsche 911 GT3 R n°54 – Black Swan Racing by Long – Pappas – Bleekemolen and the Mercedes-AMG GT3 n°175 – SunEnergy1 by Tristan Vautier – Maxi Buhk – Maro Engel. Vautier is in the running for the crown IGTC 2018 with Marciello, as well as Haase and Markus Winkelhock (No. 8 Audi R3 LMS GT19).
