IGTC – The Triple Eight trio reunited for the 12 Bathurst 2019H

Shane van Gisbergen, Jamie Whincup and Craig Lowndes will reunite next February in a Scott Taylor Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT3 for the 12 Bathurst 2019 Hours.

IGTC – The Triple Eight trio reunited for the 12 Bathurst 2019H

Between them, they have 11 titles in Australian Supercars and 11 victories at Bathurst 1000. This shows if the experience and performance of the trio Shane van Gisbergen, Jamie Whincup and Craig Lowndes are great on Mount Panorama. The three drivers of Triple Eight Engineering – Red Bull Holden Racing in Supercars will have the opportunity to showcase these assets next February at the Bathurst 12 Hours, opening of the 2019 Intercontinental GT Challenge.

Also all winners of the Antipodes clock tower, the three accomplices will evolve on a Mercedes-AMG GT3 under the banner of Scott Taylor Motorsports in association with Triple Eight Engineering. The car will be in Vodafone colors, sponsor of Roland Dane's structure until 2012.

If van Gisbergen and Whincup had driven the GT3 at the Scott Taylor Motorsports star, in 2017 and 2018 respectively, Craig Lowndes will have to discover the car, he who took part in the Bathurst 12 Hours mainly in Audi R8s, Ferrari 488 and McLaren 650S GT3.

" It's gonna be fun, says Lowndes, a living legend in Australia. Obviously the three of us are very compatible and we know the circuit very well. The car for me, I'll have to understand it well, but I'm sure it will come pretty quickly. »

Only Whincup was present on the podium at the Bathurst 12 Hours this year, second in the Mercedes-AMG GT3 – Scott Taylor Motorsports with Tristan Vautier, future champion IGTC, Raffaele Marciello and Kenny Habul. For his part, Lowndes won the Bathurst 1000 for the seventh time, supported by Steven Richards.
