IGTC – Marciello and Vautier separated for the Laguna Seca final

Leading the general classification of the Intercontinental GT Challenge with 58 points, notably after their success at the Suzuka 10 Hours, Tristan Vautier and Raffaele Marciello will separately defend their chances for the 2018 Drivers crown at Laguna Seca (California) in just over a week.

The Frenchman will once again find the Mercedes-AMG GT3 n°175 – SunEnergy1, where he will be supported by Maximilian Buhk and Maro Engel. AKKA-ASP will also provide technical support to SunEnergy1. For his part, the Transalpine driver will drive the No. 42 of Strakka Racing alongside Lewis Williamson and Maximilian Götz. A separation which could offer more possibilities for Mercedes-AMG to take the Drivers' crown.

In addition to these two cars lined up in the Pro category, the German brand will be well represented in Pro-Am with the No. 42 – Strakka Racing entrusted to Felipe Fraga – David Fumanelli – Nick Leventis, the No. 44 – Strakka Racing for Jack Hawksworth – Adrien Tambay – Christian Vietoris and the n°75 – SunEnergy1 of boss-driver Kenny Habul – Mikaël Grenier – Luca Stolz.
