Actor Keanu Reeves will be driving this weekend in Indianapolis!

The American circuit hosts this weekend the finale of the Intercontinental GT Challenge and the GT World Challenge America, the 8 Hours of Indianapolis. On this occasion, the single-make cup of Toyota, the GR Cup, will be present as a support race, with the actor. Known in particular for his roles in the Matrix and John Wick sagas, Keanu Reeves is not a total stranger to the world of motor racing. The Canadian has indeed taken part several times in the race mixing professional drivers and celebrities organized by Toyota on the sidelines of the Grand Prix of Long Beach inIndyCar. Reeves won the celebrity category at the 2009 edition. “I want to say how grateful I am to have the opportunity to drive in the Toyota GR Cup at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.”, did he declare.

However, it has been 14 years since he last touched the wheel of a racing car, so the test sessions will be important to reacclimatize himself to the wheel of the Toyota GR86 n°92. He will drive for Eagles Canyon Racing by Fast Track, teaming up with Cody Jones, from the YouTube channel Dude Perfect, who will be discovering the world of motorsport. The Japanese Miki Koyama, champion of Formula Regional Japan in 2022, will make her debut in a car entered in partnership with the women's championship KYOJO Cup Series, of which she won the first two titles, in 2017 and 2018.
