Jan Magnussen converts to TCR
Removed from the American Corvette Racing team following the 2019 Imsa season, Jan Magnussen will return to a national program in 2020. The father of the current pilot Haas en Formula 1 Kevin Magnussen will try his hand at Tourism by joining the brand new TCR Denmark.
The experienced 46-year-old driver will swap his Corvette C7.R for a Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR from the LM Racing team. “I followed the American version of the TCR when I drove with Corvette, and there is no doubt that the performance of these cars is very good”, explains the four-time winner in GTS and GT1 to 24 Hours of Le Mans (between 2004 and 2009).
“In addition, this type of vehicle (sedans) is very suitable for small circuits in Denmark and the urban routes found there. I am sure we will create a cool show for the drivers and fans. »
