Joey Logano wins The Clash

An event not counting for the championship, and contested just before qualifying for the Daytona 500, The Clash 2017 was postponed to this Sunday due to rain. And it was finally Joey Logano who opened the list of the year at the end of the 75 rounds on the menu.

The driver of the No. 22 Ford Fusion of Team Penske took advantage of contact on the last lap between his teammate Brad Keselowski and the leader Denny Hamlin (Joe Gibbs Racing – Toyota) to take control of the race.

Joey Logano finally won ahead of Kyle Busch (Joe Gibbs Racing) and Alex Bowman (Hendrick Motorsports – Chevrolet). Danica Patrick hoists her Chevrolet from the Stewart-Haas Racing while Kevin Harvick (Stewart-Haas Racing) completes the top 5.

Note that Jimmie Johnson (Hendrick Motorsports) was unable to take part in the fight for victory after contact with the wall. The 2016 champion was also involved in the first caution after losing control of his No. 48 Chevrolet and sending Kurt Busch (Stewart-Haas Racing) into the wall.
