Kevin Harvick (Stewart-Haas Racing) is in great shape. The 44-year-old American driver won his fourth race on Sunday July 5 in Nascar Cup Series this year, on the track in Indianapolis (Indiana).
The Californian was the most prominent competitor at the head of the Brickyard 400 with 68 laps led, but especially benefited from the accident of Denny Hamlin (Joe Gibbs Racing) less than ten laps from the end, when his right front tire exploded at turn 1:

“We have been very successful recently, explained Denny Hamlin. I'm giving everything I have, but a lot of things aren't going our way right now. »
Another strong image of the event was the pileup in the pit lane at the very start of the event. Ryan Blaney (Team Penske), Corey LaJoie (Go Fas Racing), Justin Allgaier (Hendrick Motorsports), Ryan Preece (JTG Daugherty Racing), Ricky Stenhouse Jr (JTG Daugherty Racing) and Martin Truex Jr (Joe Gibbs Racing) were involved :

Team Penske mechanic Zach Price was slightly injured in the accident and was able to return home after a visit to a nearby hospital. The race was stopped at the red flag.
In the championship, Kevin Harvick leads Chase Elliott and Brad Keselowski by more than 80 points.
