Kyle Busch further panics the statistics by Nascar Cup Series. The former 2015 series champion claimed his 50th victory yesterday in Richmond, Virginia at the end of a race where the Joe Gibbs Racing driver had to fight hard.
The pilot of the Toyota Camry n°18 a pris l’avantage décisif à 36 tours du but après s’être longtemps battu face à la Ford Fusion de Brad Keselowski (Team Penske). Mais c’est bien Kevin Harvick (Ford – Stewart-Haas Racing) who posed a final threat to the youngest of the Busch brothers at the end of the race.
Already a winner earlier in the season at Richmond, Kyle Busch achieved the famous “sweep” of winning both races on the same circuit during the season. He further qualifies for the next round of the 2018 Chase.
Harvick and Martin Truex Jr (Toyota – Furniture Row Racing), winner of the first two segments of the race, complete the top 3 ahead of Chase Elliott (Chevrolet – Hendrick Motorsports) and Aric Almirola (Stewart-Haas Racing).
Discover the report of the Richmond event, counting for the 2018 Chase of the Nascar Cup Series, in issue 2184 of AUTOhebdo, available tomorrow evening in digital version, and from next Wednesday on newsstands.
