The FFSA announces a resumption of motorsport on May 11

Thanks to the work carried out by all the players in the motor sports sector and particularly the professional groups (GNCACEIPA, GNPK, ADEPA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports, the circuits and outdoor tracks of karting will welcome practitioners, licensed or not, from tomorrow.

Still waiting for the official decree and the instruction from the Ministry of Sports specifying the terms of reopening, we would like to share with you certain elements acquired.

Within a radius of 100 km from your home or in your department, it doesn't matter if it is red or green, you can go for a ride. Town halls or prefects, however, have the power to take measures specific to their territory. It is necessary to call your club or the circuit to check if it is open before traveling.

To practice your passion, respecting barrier gestures and the health protocol, put in place by the FFSA – Fédération Française du Sport Automobile in consultation with professional groups, is essential. In this respect, we salute the work carried out by the Federal Doctor, Alain Chantegret, in order to allow everyone to be able to ride in complete safety and confidence.

Any group of more than 10 people is prohibited. However, several groups of 10 people can be located within the enclosure. It is obligatory to limit the flow of people simultaneously in the same place and the interactions between participants.
Locker rooms, social spaces and restaurants will remain closed. We recommend that practitioners come with their own equipment.

All our clubs and circuits will ensure respect for barrier gestures, the recommendations of the FFSA – Fédération Française du Sport Automobile and physical distancing.

For EFKs, we invite schools to contact local authorities in order to discuss with them to welcome the children again.

Barrier gestures to follow

The return to circuits and other karting tracks will only continue if health procedures are respected. These were revealed by the FFSA:

As in any public place, physical distancing is recommended, as well as the provision of hydroalcoholic gel and masks. Briefings must be conducted electronically (videoconference type, call) or outdoors. In addition, in order to avoid gatherings in a reception or administrative control location, reservations for activities will be strongly recommended.

Responsibility of everyone is therefore required so that motorsport activity in France gets back on track.

The competition

The publication of the federal calendars relating to the FFSA will take place in the coming days. In any case, the resumption of racing is not expected before August 1st. A date that could raise eyebrows for motorsport enthusiasts, because the horse races, which attract at least a hundred people within a restricted area, will be able to be held from... May 11!
