The Giulia ETCR receives its battery kit

Hyundai was one of the first brands to enter the race for electrified passenger cars, before Cupra and Alfa Romeo (via Romeo Ferraris) quickly followed suit.

The Italian has also been able to receive its battery kit in recent days, the integration into the chassis now being complete despite a serious delay on the initial program, due to the pandemic and its consequences. A test will soon be carried out on the Vallelunga track in Italy, an important step before future development phases.

“The installation of the battery on the Giulia ETCR completed the long process of designing the car, describes Michela Cerruti, operations manager of Romeo Ferraris.

It wasn't easy, as we encountered many logistical obstacles, but our team did a perfect job. For a private company like ours, this is an important milestone and I am proud of the work and dedication of our staff.

In truth, the hardest part begins now, as we will have to fight again against the larger entities who had less time constraints.

By the way, as we have shown in the past, we are aware that we have the skills and resources to compete at the highest level and we look forward to the coming weeks with great determination.”

Stefano Coletti will be the driver named to drive the Giulia this year.
