Nascar wants to better separate its divisions

Over the past five years, all Nationwide (second division) champions have been title contenders in the Sprint Cup (first division). Worse, in 2010, only Justin Allgaier won a Nationwide race (out of 35) without having driven in Cup during the season?

The series organizers no longer want to see these drivers appear in all rankings. A proposal was made to force them to choose in which series they will play the title.

Everyone will still be able to drive without limits in the Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Truck Series, but drivers will only score points in the championship they chose at the start of the season.

It's a safe bet that the 2011 Nationwide champion will rarely have been in the forefront?
