The penultimate round of the season was played on a track new to the Lamera Cup calendar where 25 crews were able to combine wisdom and high racing pace to maintain their title ambitions.

Three weeks after competing in the 26 Hours of Portimão, the longest race of the season, the Lamera Cup made a stopover in Valencia. A modern track inaugurated in 1999: 4 km of technical development which does not offer the highest top speeds, but whose 14 turns and the short straight line require the drivers – 86 entered out of 25 cars – to constant concentration . Two races of 5 and 7 hours were scheduled during this high-stakes meeting. Indeed, in all three categories, Elite, Pro-Am and Gentleman, no crew has gained enough of a lead in the championship to hope to be titled before the final which will be played in Dijon at the end of October. For ten years that the Lamera Cup has existed, this scenario has been more or less the same every year. To the delight of the teams and competitors, eager to battle it out
