After Portimão, Scania France repeats at Magny-Cours

Victorious at the 26 Hours of Portimao a few weeks ago, the crew of the Lamera Cup 41 (Scania France) won again at Magny-Cours during the seven-hour race this Sunday. An excellent operation in the championship which adds to their 3rd place during the 4-hour round on Saturday. For the Lamera 1 (L'Auto Leclerc) of the reigning champions, on the other hand, the passage in the Nièvre is one to forget.

In the Lamera Cup, in the Elite category composed of experienced and particularly fast drivers, we often take the same ones and start again. From one race to the next, the leading roles are generally played between the 62 (Team Lamera), the 80 (CTF Continental Racing, the 41 (Scania France), the 421 (Hephaestos by Hedonic) and the 1 (L'Auto Leclerc). The last crew mentioned approached Magny-Cours with confidence, their counter showing 1811 points, or 41 units behind the racing car of the championship promoters and also leaders.

But motorsport is a perpetual challenge and the Lamera Cup is no exception. Thus, the prototype with the number 1 did not experience success in the Nièvre. On Saturday, while it was widening the gap on the rest of the pack, this Lamera went off the track halfway through the race. A good thirty minutes to bring it back to the pits, as many to repair it and it finished in the third-to-penultimate place in the standings. This Sunday, it was a broken drive shaft at the differential level that required a long pit stop to finish in 15th place.

The rivals did not ask for so much. Already in good form the day before, the 41 (Scania France) returned to victory with less than a minute and a half ahead of the 30 (CTF Continental) and the 80 (Team Lamera). This reshuffles the cards and promises a very exciting meeting in Dijon at the end of October. This Sunday round, it was the 62 (CTF – 70BE2) that won in Pro-Am with a very nice 3th place to the key and the victory in Gentlemen went to the 5 (Novarc by GL Autosport)
