31 cars were at the start of the 3:30 a.m. race this morning in Dijon. On a dry but cold track, the first laps offered a spectacle of rare intensity. And for good reason: the fastest competitors in qualifying were relegated to the back of the peloton. During the Super Pole, scheduled for Friday late afternoon, the fastest riders had to deal with a very wet track. This did not allow them to set the best times against their rivals who set off on dry asphalt.
Whatever. In a few minutes, the number 1 Lamera, driven by Wilfried Merafina, found itself at the front even though it was in 13th position on the grid. At the end of 210 minutes of this first confrontation, it crossed the line in 2nd position while the 73 (L'Auto Leclerc) signed an indisputable victory. The first Pro-Am (Race Track Competition) crew finished in 6th place while the Gentleman category was won by GDM Racing, 18th at the checkered flag.
At 13:30 p.m., after a very convivial lunch, the race will resume until 18:00 p.m.
