The Nevers region was copiously rained down yesterday evening but it was on perfectly dry tarmac that the qualifications for the two Lamera Cup races were able to take place this afternoon.
And as is often the case in this monarch discipline, the fastest drivers in the championship have emerged. Thus, for the 1-hour long race 4, which will start at 15:30 p.m., the Lamera 1 (L'Auto Leclerc) and the 80 (CTF Continental Racing) share the front row. With, in the rearview mirror, the 41 (Scania France) and 421 (Hephaïstos by Hedonic). Sunday, in a race scheduled for 7 hours of racing, we will find the 1 in the foreground with the 62 (Team Lamera) at its side. This time, the 421 and the 41 will still be on the 2nd row but in reverse positions.
This guarantees us some interesting battles while preserving the spirit of this Cup like no other. Indeed, reading the provisional championship rankings tells us that two teams are emerging before the start of the (friendly) hostilities. For the moment, it is Team Lamera that leads the debates with 1852 points, closely followed by L'Auto Leclerc with 1811 units.
The victory of the 41 (Scania France) in the 26 Hours of Mortimao allowed it to reposition itself. Here it is in provisional 3rd place with 1617 points. The gap, compared to the 80 of CTF Continental is however significant, the latter displaying 1273 points for the moment.
As heavy clouds gather over the circuit that was dear to Guy Ligier (and to French taxpayers) let the party begin.
