After a very special year 2020 due to Covid-19 health reasons, SRO hopes to return to a more classic calendar in 2021. The 2021 GT World Challenge Europe championship, revealed this Friday September 4, is proof of this.
As usual, the 10 rounds will be divided equally between the Sprint Cup and theEndurance Cup. Endurance will open the show in Monza (Italy) during the Easter weekend in April. The flagship event of the season, the 24 Hours of Spa (Belgium), returns to its place between July and August.
French spectators will have to converge in the Var, towards the Paul-Ricard circuit to attend the 1 km Endurance race. Two trips remain to be determined: in Endurance in May, and in Sprint in the fall.
In addition, the European GT4 competition will support the GT World Challenge on six circuits, including Paul-Ricard at the end of May 2021.
