Lechner Racing continues in Porsche Cup France

Mourning by the death of its founder Walter Lechner at the end of last year, Lechner Racing intends to return for a victorious campaign in 2021, with the new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. It will go through the Porsche Carrera Cup France.

“Of course, we will be back to defend our team title in the Porsche Supercup,” explained team principal Robert Lechner. Looking into our great team history, we have managed to secure 8 driver titles and 11 team titles, so everyone is very motivated to continue this success story! Additionally, we are also looking forward to joining the Carrera Cup France where we managed to win three championships and titles in our very first participation last season. »

The Austrian team discovered the French championship in 2020, thanks to the ideal calendar, which saw the series begin after the end of the Porsche Supercup, the team's main program.

Two of its drivers, Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer and Jaxon Evans, fought for the title until the last round at Le Castellet. The New Zealander had won the crown.
