The only car with a 1.6 liter engine compared to 2.0 liter vehicles, the Peugeot 308 TCR was chosen by six competitors. Unable to find a program globally despite a victory at Zandvoort (Netherlands) Aurélien Comte refocused at the last minute in Europe with the Belgians from DG Sport Compétition.
The Clairet brothers (Teddy and Jimmy), from the 308 Racing Cup, should play the role of preventing people from going in circles with their Peugeot 308s from the family team. Teddy is for his part directly supported by Peugeot Sport as outgoing champion of the 308 Racing Cup. The Clairet Sport will also allow gentlemen drivers Stéphane Ventaja and Gilles Colombiani to gain experience at the international level.
Author of some brilliant coups, the JSB Compétition remains confident in Julien Briché (a success at Spa-Francorchamps all the same) and Marie Baus-Coppens. The latter is joined by the second female on the board, the young Lilou Wadoux. Having just reached the age of majority, she climbed the ranks of Rencontres Peugeot with disconcerting ease.
John Filippi has agreed to step back at the continental level, but is tackling a big challenge: that of developing and taking the new Renault Megane RS (prepared by the Swiss Vukovic Motorsport) on the podium.
Paradoxically, this tricolor over-representation coincides with the eviction of the French round from the calendar. Promoting this category in our region is no easy task…
