The Nascar Whelen Euro Series modifies its sporting regulations

As the recovery of Nascar Whelen Euro Series, the team of Jérôme Galpin, president of the championship, has formalized a modification of the sporting regulations to both respond to health needs in the face of the coronavirus pandemic, but also to maintain maximum suspense until the end of the calendar .

First of all, the meeting architectures will be reviewed and corrected since a compact two-day format including EuroNascar 2 on Saturday (tests, qualifying and two races) and EuroNascar Pro on Sunday (tests, qualifying and 2 races) or a more traditional three-day format with practice on Friday, qualifying on Saturday morning and one race per championship on Saturday and Sunday will be put in place.

The season opener at Vallelunga in Italy (September 12-13) will be organized over two days, with the Belgian meeting in Zolder adopting the usual three-day format from October 2 to 4.

The ten results of the 2020 season will be taken into account in the final ranking, unlike other years where the worst result of the regular season was counted. The Valencia finals on December 5 and 6 will also be the only ones to offer double points for the races.

Another modification to take into account for the teams, limited staff for each car will be imposed and all briefings will take place remotely via a digital platform.
