Les 24 Heures de Spa demeurent très hâchées depuis l’entame de l’épreuve, actuellement dominées par la Porsche 911 GT3 R n°998 – ROWE Racing de Nick Tandy.
The race was neutralized for a long time shortly after 18:13 p.m. following the violent exit of the track by Jean-Paul Buffin (BMW M6 GT3 n°37 – 3Y Technology) braking in Les Combes.
The driver, as well as a commissioner, were taken to the medical center for additional examinations, which revealed nothing serious, even if Jean-Paul Buffin will remain under observation in hospital.

The safety rails required lengthy repairs after the accident, causing a neutralization under Full Course Yellow, then safety car, for more than an hour.
Nick Tandy (Porsche 911 GT3 R n°998 – ROWE Racing) then leads the peloton ahead of Maxi Buhk (Mercedes-AMG GT3 n°999 – Mercedes-AMG Team GruppeM) and Michael Christenen (Porsche 911 GT3 R n°20 – GPX Racing).
But the period under green flag will only last a short time, the event being neutralized under Full Course Yellow following the exit from the track, also quite violent, of the No. 3 Bentley Continental GT31 – Team Parker Racing of Ryan Ratcliffe. The driver got out of his car.
