Loris Hezemans bounces back well at Most

Loris Hezemans (Ford n°50 – Hendriks Motorsport) claimed victory this Sunday during the second Elite 1 race at Most in the Czech Republic. A revenge for the driver who saw his engine die yesterday in race 1.

Hezemans built his victory by taking the advantage over pole sitter Nicolo Rocca (Chevrolet n°24 – PK Carsport) from the first two laps before masterfully leading the entire event. A victory which allows the Dutchman to open his 2019 counter in the series, and to place himself a little further in the top places in the ranking.

Hezemans wins ahead of Stienes Longin (Chevrolet n°11 – PK Carsport), second for the sixth time of the year and who, although he awaits his first success in 2019, retains control of the general classification, recovered yesterday after the penalty imposed on Alon Day (Chevrolet n°54 – CAAL Racing) yesterday for a collision with Jacques Villeneuve.

Romain Iannetta (Ford n°88 – Racing Engineering) took the last step of the podium, Rocca having made a mistake in the gravel trap to only finish 11th. Alon Day and Jacques Villeneuve were forced to retire after being involved in contact in the first sequence of the circuit.
