Loris Hezemans scores his first victory at Hockenheim

Loris Hezemans (Ford) scored his first success in Nascar Whelen Euro Series in Hockenheim (Germany). The driver of the No. 50 Mustang had a perfect day, taking pole in the first semi-final of Elite 1 before leading the race from start to finish. The Dutchman also allowed Hendriks Motorsports to score its first victory in the discipline.

“We had to work hard to get there and that makes this victory even more precious, comments the new leader of the Junior Trophy. It was tight until the last turn, I almost lost my duel against Alon (Day). He put a lot of pressure on me after the safety car intervened because he was very fast. »

The podium is completed by Marc Goossens (Chevrolet Camaro) and Lucas Lasserre (Chevrolet SS). Alon Day (Chevrolet SS) had a great opportunity to take control of the Championship after his rival for the title Frédéric Gabillon (Toyota) suffered a puncture on the first lap, but the Caal Racing driver spun while trying to take control of the event and finally failed in 15th place while the RDV Competition resident was able to move up to 7th position.
