Martin Truex Jr stronger than Team Penske at Martinsville

After crushing the previous race at Martinsville at the end of 2019 (464 laps led out of 500), Martin Truex Jr (Joe Gibbs Racing – Toyota) achieved the double on the Virginia track last night by winning a race where Team Penske was the main opposition to the 2017 champion.

The latter, despite a penalty for an infraction in the pit lane, was able to return to the front to take control of the race on the 370th lap before controlling the end of the proceedings to beat the three under the checkered flag. Ford Mustang – Penske by Ryan Blaney, Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano.

Followed by the Chevrolet Camaro – Hendrick Motorsports of Chase Elliott and Alex Bowman, Matt diBenedetto (Wood Brothers Racing – Ford), William Byron (Hendrick Motorsports), Kurt Busch (Chip Ganassi Racing – Chevrolet) and Jimmie Johnson (Hendrick Motorsports).

To find a trace of a Toyota Camry, you have to go down to 19th position with the car of Kyle Busch (Joe Gibbs Racing), followed by the sister car of Erik Jones.
