Absolute Racing prolongera son engagement au côté de Porsche Motorsport dans le cadre de l’Intercontinental GT Challenge in 2020. After Suzuka this year, the Chinese structure will enter two 911 GT3 R in the opening round of the championship, the Bathurst 12 Hours (January 31 – February 2) for his debut in the event.

Mathieu Jaminet and Patrick Pilet will be united on one of the two examples, and will compete with the title holder Matt Campbell, when Dirk Werner, Thomas Preining and Matteo Cairoli will be associated on the second 911 GT3 R.

“We had a fantastic first year with Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific and the Porsche 911 GT3 R in 2019, so we are very keen to continue this trend in 2020, says Fabien Fior, Team Manager of Absolute Racing.

This is the second time we will contest an Intercontinental GT Challenge round and we look forward to racing at Mount Panorama Circuit with the manufacturer that won the 2019 event.”

Porsche had indeed won this year with the old generation 911 GT3 R entrusted to the trio Dirk Werner – Matt Campbell – Dennis Olsen (future Drivers' champion) and operated by Earl Bamber Motorsport.
