Muller wins the C2 ahead of Huff and Menu

James Nash had the opportunity to highlight himself by starting from pole in Race 2 in Marrakech with the reverse grid, but the Ford driver failed to contain the imperious rise of the Chevrolets. Yvan Muller led the Cruze 1.6T, followed by Rob Huff and Alain Menu (winner of Race 1) to the lead of the event to offer a second hat-trick to the American manufacturer. The Frenchman extends his lead in the Championship to 24 points over the Swiss and achieves his fourth success in six races this season.

The pole-sitter of the second event made a slight error which cost him fourth place. The Briton finished sixth behind the BMW 320 TCs of Tom Coronel and Stefano d?Aste. The Dutchman fought hard to maintain his position, his car even being damaged at the rear. The resident of the ROAL Motorsport team is under threat from the stewards for having exceeded the limits of the track. The Briton who started from first place still finished ahead of the Seat Leon WTCC of Pepe Oriola and the 320 TC of Franz Engstler. Tiago Monteiro (SR Leon 1.6T) and Darryl O?Young (Leon WTCC) complete the top ten. Gabriele Tarquini again encountered electrical problems on his Leon WTCC and returned to the pits before starting the race.
