Nascar – Ambrose still on pole at Sonoma

Marcos Ambrose signs his second consecutive pole of the season by being the fastest in qualifying at Sonoma. The Richard Petty Motorsports driver will start ahead of the Chevrolets of Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson.

Marcos Ambrose brille dans l’exercice des qualifications puisqu’il signe sa seconde pole d’affilée en réalisant un chrono de 1’15 »203 à Sonoma. Le pilote de la Ford n°9 devance d’un dixième la Chevrolet n°24 de Jeff Gordon, tandis que Jimmie Johnson partira encore aux avant-postes en prenant la troisième place avec trois dixièmes de retard. Greg Biffle (Roush Fenway Racing) s’élancera du quatrième rang devant les deux Toyota du Michael Waltrip Racing emmenées par Martin Truex Jr et Clint Bowyer.

Kyle Busch (Joe Gibbs Racing) is ahead of his brother Kurt Busch (Phoenix Racing), while Matt Kenseth (Roush Fenway Racing) and Ryan Newman (Stewart-Haas Racing) complete the top ten. In difficulty this year, Juan-Pablo Montoya (Earhardt Ganassi Racing) will have the opportunity to highlight himself by starting from 12th place just behind Carl Edwards (Roush Fenway Racing). Brad Keselowski (Penske Racing) is responsible for placing the first Dodge in 13th position.
