Nascar – Carl Edwards takes a real pole in Michigan

He first started by losing his keys. To finally find them and sign the best performance of the day. Carl Edwards will start from the front of the grid for the Quicken Loans 400 in Brooklyn, Michigan. The Roush Fenway Racing driver thus offered himself his second pole position of the year, this time on a regular basis, after having inherited it at Talladega in early May. On one of the fastest ovals of the season, he set his best lap at an average speed of 202,241 mph. Although he did not beat the record set last year by Marcos Ambrose, he did, however, secure a place in the Sprint Unlimited. As a reminder, Carl Edwards is currently in second position in the Drivers ranking.

Behind the pole sitter, we find Kurt Busch (Furniture Row Racing), the 2004 champion of the discipline, and Kasey Kahne (Hendrick Motorsports). Brad Keselowski (Penske Racing), the defending champion, qualified in 16th position, one place better than Jimmie Johnson (Hendrick Motorsports), the championship leader.
