NASCAR – Jeff Burton replaces Tony Stewart at Bristol

Since the accident that occurred during a sprint car race at Canandaigua Motorsports Park on August 9 in which Tony Stewart was involved and where Kevin Ward Jr had been killed, the three-time champion NASCAR did not participate in any car races. The legal proceedings are still ongoing, and if Stewart is not yet not criminally prosecuted, his return to competition is not on the agenda, and his packages are decided piecemeal.

To replace Stewart in the seat of the No. 14 Chevrolet SS this weekend for the race in Brisol, Tennessee, the team has chosen to once again trust veteran Jeff Burton, 47, already seen at the wheel in Michigan, after Regan Smith's freelancing at Watkins Glen. This decision currently only concerns this weekend's race, and plans for the rest of the season have not yet been finalized on the Stewart side -Haas Racing.
