NASCAR – Joey Logano breaks the bank

The No. 22 Ford of Team Penske was unbeatable on Sunday in North Carolina on the Charlotte oval. By leading 227 of the 334 laps in the Bank of America 500, Joey Logano scored a double blow by winning over defending champion Kevin Harvick (Stewart-Haas Racing? Chevrolet), but above all, by securing a place in the next round of the Chase 2015, the Eliminator Round.

Logano n’a pas été perturbé par le report de l’épreuve, initialement prévue samedi, mais décalée en raison des conditions météo et de la pluie qui s’est abattue sur la région. Martin Truex Jr (Furniture Raw ? Chevrolet) se classe troisième devant la première Toyota de Denny Hamlin (Joe Gibbs Racing) et Kurt Busch (Stewart-Haas Racing ? Chevrolet) qui complète le top 5.

Matt Kenseth (Joe Gibbs Racing? Toyota)
, who had taken pole position, had significantly less success. After leading the race for a while, a first contact with Ryan Newman sent the 2003 champion into the wall. Having left after several repairs, the driver of the No. 20 Camry returned to the track but made another mistake, finishing second to last.
