Last Sunday in Martinsville, Virginia, Joey Logano (Team Penske – Ford) was hit by Matt Kenseth (Joe Gibbs Racing – Toyota) in a repeat of a previous collision in Kansas, which had been fatal to Kenseth in his progress for the 2015 Chase.
After studying the facts, officials of the NASCAR decided to sanction Kenseth with two strokes of suspension. A six-month probation period was also imposed.
