NASCAR Nationwide – Chase Elliott untouchable in Chicago

Chase Elliott can smile after the Chicagoland round this weekend. The JR Motorsports driver gleaned his third success of the season, and above all regained control of the general classification to the detriment of his teammate Regan Smith, only 16th in Illinois.

Leader for 85 of the 200 laps of the event, Elliot definitely took the lead of the race 23 laps from the finish and won with a 1″7 lead ahead of Trevor Bayne (Roush Fenway), Kyle Larson ( Turner Scott), Kasey Kahne (JR Motorsports) and Ty Dillon (Richard Childress) who complete the top 5 of this 18th race of the season. The next Nationwide meeting will take place next weekend on the legendary Indianapolis oval, where the residents of the second division of the NASCAR, will find the drivers of the Sprint Cup Series, entered in the famous Brickyard 400.
