AJ Allmendinger regains his place in the Nascar Sprint Cup

JTG Daugherty Racing has announced the presence of AJ Allmendinger for the entire next season in the #47 car. The former Penske Racing driver will replace Bobby Labonte after having competed in three events with this team, including a top ten finish at Watkins Glen. The 31-year-old Californian thus regains the full confidence of a team after almost seeing his career end when he was removed from his former team after being accused of doping.

“This is an exceptional opportunity for me”, comments the person concerned. “I experienced this season as a new beginning. I have worked hard and I already feel lucky every time I start. It's great to have the chance to know the JTG Daugherty Racing team and its owners Brad (Daugherty), Jodi and Tad (Geschickter). I look forward to opening a new chapter in my career with them. I like a lot of aspects about this team, it's small and the atmosphere is nice. This is what we need in this discipline. I look forward to helping this team grow to become more competitive and thus be able to work with the best sponsors. »
